Private Investigator Bursary

National bursary competition for academic year 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Each scholarship will provide £1,000 to assist one student undertaking a full-time course (BTEC Level 3 and above).

The award will be made to the individual student for one year only.

What is This Scholarship?

We have a huge interest in the education of the next generation of private detectives and investigators and as we have a commitment to helping others we are offering one student a monetary award to assist with their education.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants are required to be studying for a BTEC Level 3 or above
  • Applicants are required to have firmly accepted their offer of a full-time place
  • Applicants must be registered with the university by the 31st October 2014 for the bursary 2014/2015 and 31st October 2015 for the bursary 2015-2016.

A panel made up of private detectives and investigators will meet in early November to consider who the scholarship will be awarded to.

Here is a list of suggested courses that would benefit from this bursary or alternatively if you have applied for or are attending a course that would benefit our industry please apply:

Criminology, Forensic Science, Criminology and Police Science, Forensic Crime Scene, Digital, E-Crime, Cyber Crime, Forensic Investigation, Forensic Analysis, Crime and Investigative Studies, Criminology and Sociology, Law, Psychology and Criminology, Policing, Law and Investigation.

Applicants that meet this criterion are invited to submit a 200 word statement titled "How The Private Investigator Scholarship Will Help Me" via the below form.

    Brighton Pier

    In 1823 the Brighton Palace Pier was Brighton's first pier. The 1,722ft long pier has seen a lot of changes since then including storm damage, a total rebuild in 1899 costing £27,000, Brighton Pier Concert Hall, Dodgems and a Big Wheel. During the II world war the pier was instructed to close, a section removed and the remaining pier was put under full guard. On 20th August 1971 the pier was listed as a grade II building.

    Brighton has a lot to offer including museums in abundance. The Royal Pavilion, Brighton Museum, Booth Museum, Hove Museum and the Preston Manor are all great examples.     The Brighton Museum and Art Gallery is located in the Royal Pavilion and offers a fantastic collection of art and history from Brighton and around the world. This city centre museum is only a 5 minute walk from the beach or the Royal Pavilion Garden is right outside. Brighton Museum is a great place to entertain corporate clients. The Old Courtroom which is opposite the Royal Pavilion Estate can also be hired for events.
